There’s not a lot to report today. We stopped in Mandrogui. The name rolls off the tong, but there’s not a lot here. They built some replicas of old log cabins and offered artists the opportunity to live here, creating and selling nesting dolls, lacquered boxes, and other traditional Russian crafts. The artists live in a type of commune, complete with a written agreement not to drink. I wonder if this is strictly enforced.
